Baiga Tribe - ( Pvtgs , Primitive , Particularly vulnerable tribal group) - Madhya Pradesh - The woman in the picture is holding a head protector made of bamboo in which teak (Tectona Grandis) leaves are tucked in. The harshness of weather is something that this tribe has to face. Such art craft helps them to protect themselves against the severe weather condition. These art craft is very common and get in the weekly market at the price of 100 to 150 INR. She has wore knee length white sari and long white blouse. Black and white beads necklace adds beauty to her attire. A part of Sari she has used to cover her head. She is wearing metal bangles. It is clearly seen that she is standing in the farm. As Baiga’s are self-dependent they themselves make these head gears.
